Intro's
Seems like quite a few people have become active on this forum in the past few months. Many of you I know and exchange with off the forum, but others I know very little about. I find that when I am discussing tea, it helps me to know a little about the other participants. Especially the extent of your experience with tea, background, other interests, etc. I'll start with a quick bio of myself.

Bearsx3, if this thread is successful, could you create a frontpage link to it for easy access?

Do you know Winnie and Mike at T-gallery NYC?

I have to say the Tao of Tea teashop in the Chinese garden in Portland did not impress at all, as I've stated in my blog.

They could've done it much better, but they didn't

Is Matthew your real name? I am a Tues-Tea-Party goer at T-gallery. Heard a lot about you and your experience for the passion thru tea. They missed you there! Today Mike, Michael and Michael said hello and asked me to aske you to call.

Are you the same Jeffrey (JFree?) that made email contact with me through Aaron Fisher?
The reason I ask is because both of you live in the Bay Area and both use the term 'session' for getting together and drinking tea. Just curious.

Based on my experience with Mr. Fisher I'm afraid that I have little trust in you. Due to this, I feel that we will never "session."

agreed. sorry matthew/jeffrey, but despite your credentials, your association with aaron fisher destroys your credibility in my view.

I was mostly a bystander in the whole Mr. Fisher business, but having seen how Mr. Fisher was devious and tried to manipulate his way into this forum (and selling tea), and how you seemed to be, basically, his accomplice in this whole affair, I have to say I don't have much confidence in dealing with you.

Just updated myself with that very informative revelation about Mr. Fisher. Wow...!!! Caveat Emptor, indeed!

Cloudwayfarer/Matthew/Jeffrey/JFree,
Perhaps, I have misread you -- that is quite possible. I am also willing to admit that I have judged you very quickly and without meeting you. Yes, of that I am guilty.

However, this is the internet, a place fraught with liars and deceivers and it is often important to trust your gut when dealing with strangers on the internet. My gut has told me not to trust you completely.

My first introduction to you was from Aaron Fisher, a internet personality who proved to be deceptive. Mr Fisher introduced you as someone who lived with him for two years and to whom he sends tea in the Bay Area. He offered to arrange a meeting between you and I. I agreed to making arrangements but did hear from you for a while. During this time, I made some discoveries about Mr. Fisher and revealed them on this board (see link in previous comment) -- approximately 10 minutes after posting the revelation, I received a private email from you asking if I would like to meet you. I declined and directed you to the information I had posted.
Since then, you have appeared on this forum first anonymously, and then under the name cloudwayfarer, posting comments that suggest a fair amount of expertise in puer. Only after some questioning, did you reveal your connection to Mr. Fisher, despite knowing his history on this forum.

If you had been upfront and let this connection be known at the beginning, I personally would have been more trusting of you and would have appreciated your honesty.

Regarding Guang: My relationship with Guang, as a customer and an email correspondent, began long before Mr. Fisher appeared. He has always been honest and without pretense. I would prefer if you don't drag other people into this discussion.

Now, despite all of this, you do seem to have quite a bit of experience in the tea world, and you have offered some very interesting and informative comments on this forum. I will try and forget my early impressions of you and try and judge you only on your future comments. A wiping-clean of the slate, if you will. I look forward to future conversations, intellectual enjoyment of learning more about tea, and, hopefully, discovering a wonderful person.
